Nuclear Victims Remembrance Day Exhibition 29th February - 2nd March 2024, Majuro
Nuclear Victims Remembrance Day, formally known as Nuclear Victims’ Day and Nuclear Survivors’ Day, occurs on 1st March, a national holiday in the Marshall Islands. The day honours the survivors and victims of the nuclear testing done by the United States in the Marshall Islands in the 1950s.
The exhibition was organised by the wonderful Jo-Jikum team, in Majuro, Republic of Marshall Islands, in honour of Remembrance Day, 2024.
79 years after the United States used the first nuclear weapon in the Marshall Islands, the devastating impact remains within the land, people and communities.
